About Akio

I'm currently a Data Science Consultant at Accenture. I leverage my expertise in Python and SQL data analysis and engineering, and my familiarity with cloud platforms (Google, and Azure) to bring value to multiple clients. Highlights of client impacts include:

  • Automating, and speeding up a higher education client's Google cloud ETL pipeline
  • Modeling KPIs using time series analysis in Prophet to better plan marketing strategies
  • Building a natural language processing (NLP) clustering model on organic search terms to improve our understanding of website visitors' intent for a healthcare client
  • Creating powerful executive-level dashboards for an automotive retailer client that not only illuminated the client's understanding of their KPIs, but also charted key immediate action items that the client should take
  • Closing a $50M gap in revenue expected, and actually received using advanced SQL queries for a large payor-side healthcare client
  • Identifying, and mitigating risk of fraud for a government client, elevating the client to be better prepared for an audit

I graduated from the University of Michigan School of Information in 2019, with a M.S. in Information, specializing in Big Data Analytics. I'm also a MIDAS certified data scientist. I earned a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience also from University of Michigan. Upon getting my degree, I worked in a cultural neuropsychology lab analyzing brianwaves (i.e. EEG) in Matlab where I really cemented my love for analysis. At my internship at Michigan Medicine, I helped create a web app in ASP.NET MVC model in C# for doctors and researchers to use, as well as create some neat heat maps using Python.

In my spare time I like to play violin (among other instruments like the cello, and carillon), pick up a new language (currently, German), or browse the internet. Sometimes, I post analysis on Reddit.
